JAMMU: A deputation of All J&K Non-Gazetted Forest Officers Association (NGFOA), Civil Secretariat, today met Minister of Jal Shakti, Forest, Ecology & Environment and Tribal Affairs, Javed Ahmed Rana, and apprised him of their issues and concerns.
The deputation led by G N War, General Secretary NGFOA, highlighted various grievances of the employees of the Forest Department including delay in resolving the long pending issues of forest front-line employees. They demanded the framing of a concrete policy by the department to encourage the forest employees to work in risky conditions.
The deputation also demanded removal of pay anomaly, release of two and half day extra salary in favour of Forest frontline employees, risk allowance, DPCs, re-organization of department and regularization, release of wages in respect of Daily Wagers and Casual Labourers besides re- designation of left over class IV forest employees.
The Minister, while responding to issues raised by the deputation, assured them that all their demands and grievances will be looked into for redressal on priority basis.
