DC Bla, Director Tourism Kashmir visit Gulmarg

BARAMULLA: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Baramulla, Minga Sherpa along with the Director of Tourism Kashmir, Raja Yaqoob Farooq visited Gulmarg to inspect key tourist spots and assess the region’s preparedness for the upcoming winter tourist season.

During the visit, they interacted with key stakeholders, including ponywallas, ATV operators, taxi owners, hoteliers, and other tourism-related service providers. The visit aimed to ensure that Gulmarg is fully equipped to welcome tourists and provide them with exceptional services.

The inspection focused on ensuring that all tourist facilities are in top condition to welcome visitors during the peak winter months.

During the visit, the DC and Director toured various tourist locations, reviewing infrastructure, safety measures, cleanliness, and essential amenities. They emphasized the importance of maintaining high standards in all areas to provide tourists with an exceptional experience.

The Director of Tourism Kashmir urged stakeholders to uphold these standards, ensuring that Gulmarg remains a top winter destination renowned for its quality services and hospitality.

The officials also reviewed the preparedness of tourist activities, such as skiing and other winter sports, and the maintenance of critical infrastructure like roads and resorts. The DC and Director discussed safety protocols to ensure a secure and comfortable environment for all visitors, with a focus on maintaining the region’s appeal to both domestic and international tourists.
