SRINAGAR: On Tuesday, Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Vijay Kumar Bidhuri, held a meeting to assess the preparations for the celebration of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s Birthday.

The meeting included participation from Deputy Commissioners, civil administration and police officials, as well as representatives from SMC, KPDCL, PHE, PWD, Traffic, Fire & Emergency services, and the President of the Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee, Srinagar.

During the meeting, the Divisional Commissioner urged the officials to guarantee essential services such as a continuous supply of electricity, sanitation, and cleanliness at the Gurudwaras in Srinagar and other districts.

He instructed the Deputy Commissioners to ensure that all necessary amenities are available at the Gurudwaras within their jurisdictions to assist devotees in celebrating the significant occasion of Shri Guru Nanak Ji’s Birthday.

It was noted that the primary celebration will take place at Chatipadshahi, Rainawari Srinagar. On this occasion, the Divisional Commissioner directed the relevant authorities to arrange sufficient parking facilities near Chatipadshahi, Rainawari Srinagar.
