Held at Karhama Tangmarg, the event opened with the recitation of the Holy Quran by Pir Atiqullah Atiq, setting a reflective tone.

This was followed by a heartfelt Naat by Ghulam Rasool Chopan, adding a spiritual dimension to the gathering.

The Mushaira was presided over by Bazm-e-Adab Gulmarg’s president, Hilal Kashmiri, with Nazir Ahmad Ashai, a respected educationist, honored as the chief guest. The event proceedings were managed by young poet Tousif Raza, who brought a lively energy to the gathering.

One of the event’s standout moments was a compelling presentation on the Tahreek-e-Shukrana, or Gratitude Movement, delivered by the well-known poet Mir Afroz, which resonated deeply with the audience. Esteemed poets from across the valley, including Hameed Kashmiri, Muhammad Akbar Kalan, Ghulam Hassan Baiks, Firdous Ahmad, and Pir Atiqullah Atiq, shared their work, enchanting the attendees with their eloquent verses and thought-provoking themes.

In a gesture of solidarity, a special prayer was also held for the recovery of Bazm-e-Adab Gulmarg’s patron-in-chief. This Mushaira marked a successful effort by Bazm-e-Adab Gulmarg to foster literary engagement and revive an appreciation for the arts, reinforcing the valley’s enduring love for poetry and culture.
