SRINAGAR: The joint delegation of Medical Employees Federation and Doctors Faculty Association Kashmir today called on Chief Secretary of J&K UT in his office chamber here to apprise him of their issues and grievances.

During the meeting, the visiting delegation apprised the chair of several issues confronting them with the main issue being the change in office timing, recently affected by the government.

They requested the Chief Secretary J&K UT for restoration of the previous timing, adding that in view of approaching winters, the new timings have caused immense problems to the employees.

This new schedule, they said has also caused much inconvenience to the patients who suffer badly on account of half-day on Saturday to employees.

The worthy Chief Secretary patiently listened to the issues and concerns of the employees and assured of looking into their genuine problems for their redressal.

Later, the joint delegation also met the Administrative Secretary of Health and Medical Education and brought to his notice the lingering issues of doctors and medical employees.

The Administrative Secretary assured the visiting delegation to take up the matter with the concerned quarters for timely resolution.
