Srinagar, Nov 03: Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Jammu, Anand Jain, along with DIG Udhampur-Reasi Range, Rayees Bhat and other senior police officials, conducted an extensive security assessment along the Reasi-Sangaldan rail line.

News agency KINS reported that the team inspected key locations, including Reasi railway station and the iconic Chenab Bridge to evaluate the security measures in place for the rail corridor from Sangaldan to Reasi.

The visit was part of ongoing efforts to strengthen security around vital infrastructure in the region, particularly the Chenab Bridge, one of the world’s highest railway bridges and a critical point on the line.

Given the strategic significance of the railway connection, the officers emphasized the importance of vigilant patrolling, advanced surveillance systems, and enhanced coordination with local law enforcement to ensure the safety of rail passengers and assets along this route.
