Gulmarg: In a series of engagements aimed at enhancing healthcare and education, MLA Farooq Ahmad Shah visited the Sub District Hospital (SDH) Tangmarg today, marking his second visit to assess and improve local healthcare facilities.
During this visit, Shah reopened the Pradhan Mantri Janaushadhi Kendra at the hospital, reinforcing the government’s commitment to providing affordable medicines to underserved communities. The Janaushadhi Kendra initiative is central to making healthcare more accessible, and its reopening was welcomed by both hospital staff and the Tangmarg community.
Following his visit to the hospital, Shah extended his support to grieving families in the villages of Ganibaba and Wanigam. He met with families who recently lost loved ones, offering his condolences and expressing solidarity with them during their time of loss.
Earlier in the day, Shah attended the Annual Day celebration of Aspire Heritage School at Tagore Hall in Srinagar, where he served as the Chief Guest.
Addressing students, parents, and faculty, Shah underscored the crucial role of education in empowering youth, emphasizing that a strong educational foundation is instrumental in driving future growth and development. He encouraged the school community to continue fostering a supportive learning environment to nurture young minds and promote positive change in society.
