MLA Farooq Ahmad Shah inaugurates Gulmarg Agro Fair 2024

Tangmarg: MLA Gulmarg Farooq Ahmad Shah officially inaugurated the Gulmarg Agro Fair 2024 today, marking a significant milestone for the region.

In his opening remarks, he emphasized the critical role of modern agricultural techniques in enhancing productivity among local farmers.

He urged the farming community to take advantage of the new facilities and resources provided by the government, highlighting that innovation is essential for sustainable agricultural growth.

“Gulmarg has substantial potential in agriculture and horticulture,” Shah stated. “I encourage the people of my constituency to enhance their productivity by adopting modern techniques, tools, and innovations. It is equally important to fully utilize government schemes designed for their welfare.”

The fair showcased various stalls set up by multiple departments, including Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal & Sheep Husbandry, ICDS, and Fisheries.

During the event, Shah expressed his belief that within the next five years, Gulmarg will emerge as a leading producer of milk and excel in trout fish farming. He also distributed cash prizes and certificates of excellence to top performers in agriculture and horticulture.

Following the Agro Fair, MLA Shah visited Government Degree College Tangmarg in Chandilora, where he received a warm welcome from students and faculty. He conducted a thorough inspection of the college’s infrastructure, including academic facilities, classrooms, the library, and playground. He reaffirmed his commitment to advancing educational opportunities in the constituency, ensuring that students have access to the necessary tools for a successful academic journey.

Farooq Ahmad Shah’s dedication to both agricultural innovation and educational development underscores his unwavering commitment to the growth and prosperity of the Gulmarg constituency.
