KUPWARA: Advisor to Chief Minister, Nasir Aslam Wani, today visited the fire victims of Behremdari Batpora in Hyhama block of Kupwara.

He expressed sorrow over the unfortunate fire incident that damaged several houses.

The Advisor was accompanied by Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Ayushi Sudan.

During the visit, the Advisor shared sympathy with the fire-affected families and assured every possible support from the administration.

The Advisor provided Rs 1 lakh to each family whose houses got damaged in the blaze and Rs 40 thousand for each damaged shop under Chief Minister’s Relief Fund. He also announced Rs 1.25 lakh under Disaster Management to each of the affected families. Besides, Rs 1.67 lakh to each family will be sanctioned under PMAY to these families and Rs 1.25 lakh to each household for construction of cow shed under MGNREGA.

Earlier on his arrival, the Advisor convened a meeting of officers at Dak Banglow Kupwara and received detailed feedback regarding the developmental scenario of district Kupwara.

DC Kupwara, Ayushi Sudan, ADC Kupwara, Mohammad Rouf Rehmam and others concerned were present in the meeting.

The DC briefed the Advisor about the developmental profile including the current scenario of power, water supply, Health, Tourism, Urban Development, Sports Development and Firewood position in the district.

Meanwhile, the Advisor also chaired a public darbar at Dak Banglow Kupwara in which various developmental issues were put forth by the people. He assured for time-bound redressal of the same.
