Srinagar: Mewar University, located in the Gangrar area of Chittorgarh, Rajasthan, on Tuesday revoked the suspension of Kashmiri students who had been protesting against the university authorities over an unapproved nursing course.
According to an official order, the decision was made in response to a request from the Kashmiri students and based on advice from the Government Administration.
As previously reported by NVI, thirty-five Kashmiri students at Mewar University were suspended after staging a protest against the university’s failure to secure the necessary approvals from the Rajasthan Nursing Council (RNC) and the Indian Nursing Council (INC) for the B.Sc. Nursing program.
The students had claimed they were suspended without any resolution to their demands. Despite raising the issue with the university authorities multiple times, the matter remained unresolved.
However, the university administration has now stated that negotiations with the students are ongoing, aiming to find an amicable solution to the concerns regarding the B.Sc. Nursing program. (News Vibes of India)
