Prof Dr Iqbal Saleem Mir elected Vice-President (North Zone) of SELSI

Srinagar: Prof. Dr. Iqbal Saleem Mir, Head of the Department of Surgery at Government Medical College (GMC) Srinagar has been elected as the Vice-President (North Zone) of the Society of Endoscopic and Laparoscopic Surgeons of India (SELSI).

The election took place during the recently held Endosurg 2024 conference at AIIMS, Delhi. Prof. Dr. Varindet Kumar Bansal, Professor of Surgery at AIIMS, proposed Prof. Dr. Iqbal Saleem Mir’s name, which was unanimously seconded by the SELSI governing body.

This esteemed position recognizes Prof. Dr. Iqbal Saleem Mir’s outstanding contributions to the field of surgery, particularly in endoscopic and laparoscopic surgery.

As Vice-President (North Zone), Prof. Dr. Iqbal Saleem Mir will play a key role in promoting and advancing minimally invasive surgery techniques in the region.
