Speaking after Konark Suryas Odisha reached the finals of the Legends League Cricket tournament in Srinagar, Enakshi, along with Shrey Gupta, Director of Konark Suryas Odisha , outlined the group’s vision to cultivate local talent from Kashmir and across India.

“Our vision is to find and polish talent that can compete on national and international stages,” she said, explaining how San Priya Group’s sports initiatives will benefit athletes from regions like Odisha and Kashmir.

Shrey Gupta further highlighted the group’s dedication to promoting sports beyond cricket.

“We are keen to engage local talent in sports like basketball, rugby, and hockey, in addition to cricket. We’re especially excited to bring opportunities to regions like Jammu and Kashmir, where the passion for sports is immense.”

Konark Suryas Odisha has already made a mark in the Legends League, with performances led by stars like the Pathan brothers, Ross Taylor, and Kevin O’Brien. Reflecting on the team’s journey to the finals, Enakshi said, “Our players have shown incredible talent, and the support from the fans in places like Jammu and Srinagar has been overwhelming.”

San Priya Group’s broader focus includes building a multi-sport center of excellence in Odisha and expanding infrastructure for sports development across tier-2 and tier-3 cities.

“Our priority is to ensure that young athletes in Kashmir, and elsewhere, know about the vast opportunities available to them—not just in cricket, but across all sports,” Enakshi emphasized.

In line with India’s vision for hosting the 2036 Olympics, San Priya Group is dedicated to investing in youth sports and infrastructure. Enakshi added, “We have 12 years to prepare future champions. If we start now, we will have heroes ready to win medals for the country by 2036.”

Both Enakshi and Shrey reinforced the group’s commitment to supporting local talent and expressed optimism about the future of sports in Kashmir.
