DLTFC approves 67 cases under JKREGP at Shopian

SHOPIAN: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Shopian, Mohammad Shahid Saleem Dar today chaired a meeting of the District Level Task Force Committee (DLTFC) to assess the loan cases under the Jammu & Kashmir Rural Employment Generation Programme (JKREGP) of KVIB.

During the meeting, threadbare discussions and one-to-one interaction with applicants was held as the process of approval.

KVIB Shopian submitted 106 cases before DLTFC, out of which 67 cases were approved for the establishment and upgradation of employment generation ventures or business enterprises.

The Committee approved cases for sponsorship under categories including milk production, handicrafts, provision stores, sheep farming, transport and other business sectors.

Speaking on the occasion, the DC stressed upon the line Departments and Banks to bring the maximum number of unemployed youth under the ambit of Government schemes launched to generate maximum employment avenues in the district.

He also stressed on the Bankers to ensure speedy sanction of bank credit so that the aspiring unemployed youth are in a position to establish their income-generating units without any difficulties.
