Srinagar: GR8 Sports India Pvt Ltd, the only ICC-certified and approved bat manufacturer from the Kashmir Valley, announces its partnership with the ongoing edition of the Legends League Cricket (LLC) 2024. 

As one of the official sponsors of the matches being hosted in the picturesque valley of Kashmir, GR8 Sports continues to strengthen its ties with the cricketing world while promoting the rich quality of Kashmir Willow bats on the global stage.

A significant leg of the 2024 edition of the Legends League Cricket, a grand event featuring iconic players from around the globe, is being held in Kashmir for the first time. GR8 Sports’ collaboration not only underscores its commitment to supporting cricket at all levels but also brings the spotlight to the valley’s renowned sports manufacturing industry. The matches, set against the stunning backdrop of Kashmir, highlight the region’s growing prominence in the world of sports.

During all the seven (7) matches to be played at the Bakshi Stadium, Srinagar, GR8 will felicitate ‘The Game Changer of The Match’ with its exquisite Kashmir Willow bat so as to showcase Kashmir Willow Bat Industry at a more meaningful platform. Further, with every Sixer hit during the matches played in Kashmir, GR8 will be planting 12 trees. This green initiative is a joint effort of GR8 Sports and CIED- IUST Foundation (Centre of Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development, Islamic University, Awantipora). 

Founders of GR8 Sports India Pvt. Ltd: Fawzul-Kabiir & Mohammad Niaz ul Kabir, expressed their excitement about the partnership, stating, “We are thrilled to be a part of Legends League Cricket 2024, especially as the event unfolds in our home region of Kashmir. This collaboration marks a significant step for us as we continue to showcase the unmatched quality of Kashmir Willow bats on a global platform. GR8 Sports has always believed in the potential of cricket in Kashmir, and this partnership further cements our role in promoting the sport and the region’s industry.”

Looking ahead, Kabiir emphasized the bright future for cricket in Kashmir, adding, “Kashmir has immense potential to become a hub for international cricket, both in terms of player development and as a manufacturer of world-class cricketing gear. The cricketing industry in the valley is on the rise, with more recognition of our superior craftsmanship. At GR8 Sports, we are committed to growing our global presence while also nurturing local talent and expanding opportunities for the region’s sports economy.”

The region is the cricket bat manufacturing hub with over 400 factories employing around 1.5 lakh workforce thereby producing more than 30 Lakh bats annually, Kabiir further added.

This partnership with Legends League Cricket 2024 highlights GR8 Sports’ continued mission to bridge craftsmanship with innovation, using its expertise in bat manufacturing to support and elevate cricket on the world stage.

The company’s vision for the future focuses on leveraging the legacy of Kashmir Willow while embracing modern technology to meet the evolving demands of cricketing professionals and enthusiasts alike.
