Srinagar: Body of a 22-year-old youth who went missing on September 28, was recovered last night from a stream at Pahloo Brane in Nishat area of Srinagar, reports said Wednesday.

Reports said that the youth had been missing since September 28, 2024, while his family filed a missing person report at Nishat Police Station on October 1, 2024.

The body was discovered last night by locals who then informed the police.

The official said that the body was later shifted to a hospital in Srinagar for legal formalities and further investigation.

The deceased has been identified as Roman Nazir, a 22-year-old resident of Danpora Brein, Nishat, said the official.

Police have initiated an inquiry to determine the cause of death, he said.
