Voting from home takes place with involvement of a full contingent of polling staff and security personnel with secrecy of voting diligently maintained. The home voting facility commenced on 19 September, 2024 and concluded on 21 September, 2024.

Returning Officer, 24-Zadibal AC also accompanied the polling party designated for Home voting on the concluding day to oversee the process.

Meanwhile, a mega voter awareness program under SVEEP (Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation) was also organized at Nehru Park Srinagar.

The awareness program aimed to educate citizens about the importance of voting, voter registration processes, and electoral participation.

With the Assembly Election set for September 25, 2024, the message was clear: informed and active participation is crucial.

The event also served as an educational platform, particularly for youth and women, on various aspects of the electoral process. The active involvement of these groups highlighted the community’s dedication to strengthening democracy.

Nodal Officer (SVEEP) of 24 Zadibal AC, Aijaz Hussain Malik; Mohammad Azhar Lone, Nodal Officer MCC for Zadibal AC and officers and officials from Chief Education Officer, Srinagar; J&K Lakes Conservation and Management Authority, Srinagar; Department of Floriculture; Srinagar Municipal Corporation and police also participated in programme and contributed to its success.
