Mian Altaf emphasized that there is no need to choose between development and dignity. “The National Conference is committed to addressing both aspects simultaneously, demonstrating that our people can indeed lead better lives,” he said.

He made these remarks while speaking at a series of public meetings in Fakir Gojri in the Hazratbal assembly segment, while campaigning for the party’s candidate for Hazratbal, Salman Ali Sagar.

Mian pointed out the stark contrast between the BJP’s rhetoric and their actions. “They talk a lot about tribal rights, but why have they failed to implement the forest rights of the Gujjars? What is holding them back? It is clear that they are not sincere in their words. If they were, Fakir Gojri would not have been neglected by the government in terms of development. This area has seen no progress since 2014,”Mian Altaf said while highlighting the importance of prioritizing both development and dignity, and called out the lack of action by the BJP in fulfilling their promises to the people.

He confidently stated that Salman is the ideal candidate for the people of Hazratbal constituency. He assured that he will spare no effort in serving the diverse needs of the community.
