375 votes polled at VFCs & 179 votes at PVCs in two ACs of Shopian

SHOPIAN: On day two of Postal Voting, the voting continued today at Voter Facilitation Centres of Zainapora AC and Shopian AC at GDC Shopian and at Postal Voting Centres at Mini Secretariat, Shopian, enabling staff on election duty and essential services staff to cast their votes in a very conducive and enabling environment.

The facility was made available as per ECI guidelines by the District Election Officer, Shopian for staff deployed for election duties and essential services staff to cast their vote at Voter Facilitation Centres (VFCs) and Postal Voting Centres (PVCs) respectively, established for both AC- Shopian and Zainapora.

375 voters from polling parties, drivers, conductors of transport, Micro- Observers, media etc voted while as 179 essential services staff belonging to Police, Health, Jal Shakti, Transport, Fire and Emergency, Municipal Council voted till date.

The voting shall continue till tomorrow at these centres under strict vigilance of Observer, DEO and ROs with proper videography of events.
