Srinagar: In a bid to boost the morale of BJP candidates and strengthen the party’s election campaign in Kashmir, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit the Valley on September 19 to address a major political rally in Srinagar.
This will mark PM Modi’s second visit to Jammu & Kashmir within a week, as he is scheduled to address another large rally in Jammu on September 14.
BJP’s media in-charge, Advocate Sajid Yousuf, confirmed to NVI that PM Modi will address the BJP workers at Sher-e-Kashmir Stadium, Srinagar, on September 19, just one day after the first phase of the Assembly elections. The Prime Minister will be campaigning for the BJP candidates contesting in the second phase.
BJP sources indicated that the rally is expected to boost the confidence of party workers and candidates ahead of the second phase, which is scheduled for September 25.
BJP’s J&K spokesman, Altaf Thakur, stated that they anticipate a gathering of around 40,000 people at the rally. (NVI)
