Ganderbal: A pillion rider was killed while the biker was injured in a road accident in the Wayil area of Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Saturday, officials said.
An official told KNO that the accident occurred when the biker lost control of his two-wheeler near the Wayil area.
He said in the incident, the duo was injured, and both were shifted to the nearest hospital. One of them was declared dead on arrival, and the other is currently receiving treatment.
The official added that the deceased has been identified as Riyaz Ahmad, a resident of Kangan Waddur, while the injured person has been identified as Sajad Ahmad Banday of Kangan.
Meanwhile, police have taken cognizance of the incident.
