Poonch: One person died and two others were injured on Friday when a vehicle they were travelling in was hit by a shooting stone along the Mughal Road.
Quoting official sources, news agency GNS reported that a car (JK11A-4674), was on its way from Kashmir to Bufliaz when a shooting stone hit it at Chatta Pani in Surankote area of Poonch district.
Three persons travelling in the vehicle were injured. They were later shifted to hospital where one of them identified as Shahzad Ahmad, son of Saif Ullah of Gambir Mughlan Rajouri, succumbed to injuries, they said.
Two others, Mohammad Afzal, son of Shah Mohammad, and Lal Hussain, son of Shab Din, also residents of Gambir Mughlan Rajouri, are under treatment, they added.
A police officer said that a case has been registered in this regard.
