New PCC Chief to arrive in Srinagar Tomorrow, Jammu on Tuesday

Jammu/Srinagar, August 18: The newly appointed JK PCC Chief, Tariq Hameed Karra, will arrive in Srinagar tomorrow and in Jammu on Tuesday, according to a party spokesperson.

Karra was appointed as JKPCC President on August 16 by the Congress high command. This will mark his first visit since his appointment as PCC Chief.

Karra is expected to arrive in Srinagar from New Delhi at 11 a.m., where he will receive a warm welcome at the airport. From there, he will proceed directly to the PCC Headquarters on M.A. Road, Srinagar, where he will interact with party leaders and workers to discuss preparations for the recently announced assembly elections.

The following day, on Tuesday, Karra will arrive in Jammu from Srinagar by 12 noon. He will be greeted with an enthusiastic reception at the airport by party leaders and workers, and will then head straight to the Congress Headquarters at Shaheed Chowk, Jammu. Karra will briefly address party workers at Shaheed Chowk at 12:30 p.m.

Karra will be accompanied by the two working presidents, Tara Chand and Raman Bhalla, as well as other senior leaders of JKPCC, the spokesperson added.
