The new curd product, packaged in a biodegradable “IML Bucket,” represents a significant step towards sustainable packaging, aligning with the Eat Right India movement’s goals of promoting eco-friendly practices.

Speaking at the event, Commissioner Hashmat Ali Yatoo (IAS) praised Khyber Agro’s commitment to environmental responsibility and food safety. He emphasized the importance of maintaining high standards in food processing while introducing innovative, value-added products.

The curd, produced at Khyber’s state-of-the-art facility in Srinagar, follows strict quality control measures at every stage of processing and packaging, ensuring the highest levels of safety and hygiene. The company’s extensive distribution network, spanning over 13 districts, will ensure that this locally produced, high-quality dairy product reaches consumers across the region.

During the launch ceremony, a detailed presentation highlighted the company’s growth and commitment to food safety standards under the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006. The Commissioner encouraged the firm to collaborate with the FDA to conduct training and awareness sessions for milk producers and food handlers, further enhancing food safety in the region.

Manan Tramboo, while expressing pride in Khyber Agro’s journey, said that the new curd product reflects the purity and tradition of Kashmir’s dairy heritage. He thanked customers for their trust and support, emphasizing the company’s vision to continue innovating while staying rooted in the values of quality and sustainability.

Khyber Agro Pvt. Ltd. has long been a household name in Kashmir, known for delivering fresh and safe dairy products. The launch of the new curd bucket marks another milestone in the company’s ongoing efforts to bring high-quality, environmentally conscious products to the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
