Police organises Tiranga rallies across valley

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Police organized various events at Police establishments across the Kashmir valley, besides felicitating the family members of martyrs who have sacrificed their lives in safeguarding the sovereignty of the nation.

In Anantnag, police organized a massive Tiranga Bike Rally, journeying from DPL Anantnag to Bamzoo Mattan. The rally was led by SSP Anantnag, Dr. G. V. Sundeep Chakravarthy joined by SP HQRS Anantnag, other senior officers of the district as well as SHOs, DOs, Police personnel, CRPF and Army officials. Local citizens carrying the national flag enthusiastically participated in the event. The rally concluded peacefully at Humayun Muzammil Degree College, Khanabal, leaving a lasting impression of unity and patriotism.

Similarly, in Handwara, the Police organized a Tiranga bike rally in Handwara Town kick-started by SSP Handwara Dawood Ayoub-KPS and other officers & officials of PD Handwara participated in the event. The rally concluded at DPL Handwara wherein all participants took the pledge to play their part in building a developed India. These significant events were part of the “Meri Mati Mera Desh” campaign, designed to instil patriotism and encourage citizens to honour the sacrifices made by the nation’s Brave Hearts.

In Baramulla, under the theme “Ek Paed Shaheedon Ke Naam”, Police in collaboration with the Social Forestry Department’s JV Division Baramulla, organized a plantation drive at District Police Lines Baramulla. SSP Baramulla, Amod Ashok Nagpure-IPS, accompanied by SP Ops Baramulla, SP Hqrs Baramulla, DySP Hqrs Baramulla, DySP DAR DPL Baramulla, Next of Kin (NOKs) of Police Martyrs, and other officers and officials of Baramulla Police, participated in the drive. On the conclusion of the event, NOKs of the martyrs were felicitated by SSP Baramulla, Amod Ashok Nagpure-IPS, in the presence of other police officers.

In Ganderbal, Police in collaboration with Civil Administration and other Security forces organized Tiranga rallies across the district with huge fervour and enthusiasm. At Qamariya Stadium Ganderbal, the rally was flagged off by SSP Ganderbal Sandeep Gupta-IPS, which concluded at Mini Secretariat Ganderbal. In Sub-division Kangan, the Tiranga rally commenced from SDM Office Kangan to Govt. Degree College Kangan, in which SDM Kangan Bilal Mukhtar-JKAS, SDPO Kangan SP Muzaffar Jan-JKPS, Tehsildar Kangan, SHO Kangan, other officers of Civil & Police Administration and CAPF participated. Additionally, Plantation Drives were held at Govt. Hr. Sec School Kullan & Govt. Middle Schools Haknar, Yachama, & Tangdaji Kral Khani Akhal, under the supervision of SDPO Kangan in which NOKs of J&K Police Martyrs, Police officers, Officials of Forest Department & School Students participated. At Govt. High School Shalbugh, Govt. Middle Schools Shalhar & Batwina, the Plantation drive was held during which different species of plants were planted under the supervision of SP Hqr’s Ganderbal Gh Hassan-JKPS, in which senior Police Officers, NOKs of Police Martyrs, Officers and officials of Sindh Forest Division Ganderbal and School students participated.

In Awantipora, a plantation drive was organized at Tral in which SSP Awantipora Ajaz Ahmed Zargar-JKPS, officers from Civil Admn & Forest Range Officer Tral, and family members of Martyrs participated. Moreover, Awantipora Police along with officers from civil Admn visited various Police martyrs’ families in the Sub Division Awantipora. Similarly, in Pulwama, SSP Pulwama PD Nitya-IPS accompanied by DySP DAR and other Senior Police officers of the district visited the families of police martyrs who had laid down their lives in the line of duty. Meanwhile, in Budgam, SSP Budgam Nikhil Borkar-IPS, and all jurisdictional police officers of district Budgam visited the families of Police Martyrs.

While interacting with the families of martyrs, visiting Police Officers listened to their grievances patiently and assured them that their genuine problems would be taken up at the appropriate level for timely redressal.
