Pr Secy Home presides over Public Darbar at Srinagar

SRINAGAR: Principal Secretary, Home, Chandraker Bharti, today presided over a Public Darbar at Banquet Hall here to listen to the issues and grievances of the people of Srinagar District.

Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Dr. Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat, Commissioner SMC, Dr Owais Ahmad, VC LCMA, Dr Bashir Ahmad, SSP Srinagar, Ashish Mishra, SSP Traffic City, Muzaffar Shah, RTO Kashmir, Shahnawaz Bukhari were present on occasion.

While members of the District Development Council, Officers of all line Departments, other concerned officials and large number of locals attended the Public Darbar.

Addressing the Darbar, the Principal Secretary remarked that this initiative of the Government has generated a positive response from the citizens who find it very easy to interact with the highest officers of the Administration.

The Principal Secretary assured the participants that all their genuine issues raised in the public Darbar would be redressed in a time-bound manner. He said that the District Administration Srinagar is performing well in mitigating local issues besides ensuring growth and development in the District.

Chandraker Bharti urged all the locals to take maximum benefit of these public darbars and bring their developmental issues before the Administration.

During the Darbar, the public delegations and locals raised various demands of a developmental nature before the Principal Secretary and sought timely redressal of the same.

The Principal Secretary listened patiently to all the demands and developmental issues raised by the public and issued on-the-spot directions for their redressal on a priority basis.

Chandraker Bharti also directed all the officers of line Departments to work in coordination to ensure the smooth execution of the official assignments as well as the timely disposal of these grievances and issues.
