Dheeraj Gupta presides over Public Darbar at Anantnag

ANANTNAG: Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) Forest, Ecology & Environment, Dheeraj Gupta, today presided over a Public Darbar cum grievance redressal camp at Town Hall here.

Deputy Commissioner Anantnag, S.F. Hamid; Additional District Development Commissioner, Chief Executive Officer Pahalgam Development Authority, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Assistant Commissioner Development, Executive Engineer R&B, Chief Medical Officer, Chief Executive Officer Anantnag Municipality and other officers were present on the occasion. The darbar was also attended by representatives of trade bodies, small shopkeepers, vendors, transport representatives and a large number of locals.

The locals raised a variety of grievances covering services such as Medical Facilities, Education, Developmental Works, provision of Sports facilities with the ACS.

The ACS took review from the concerned officers on these matters and issued on-the-spot directions for their resolution.

The ACS on the occasion reiterated that the purpose of these outreach programs is to foster direct communication between the public and government authorities, making grievance redressal more effective and transparent.

Later, the ACS also distributed cheques among beneficiaries of various schemes like HADP and PMEGP.

Notably, today’s event was one among a series of Public Darbars organized by the government to address the grievances of people at the grassroots level by engaging with the highest functionaries.
