SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir Housing Board’s three-day special camp for assistance on various issues related to plots in Housing Colonies in Kashmir commenced today at the Bemina camp office here.

The special camp, on its first day, was a great success as it provided much-needed assistance for various issues like sale of plots, lease extension/conversion of leasehold rights, and issuance of NOCs for conveyance deed and sale deed, among others.

The Managing Director encouraged allottees/lessees and the general public to take advantage of this opportunity and informed them that the camp scheduled for 1st to 3rd August would be extended if more responses were received, thereby encouraging more participation.

The response from the residents of Housing Colonies including Bagh-e-Mehtab, Bijbehara, Bemina, Ompora, Rawalpora, and Bootakadal was truly overwhelming.

During the camp, a significant number of applicants visited the Bemina office in Srinagar to resolve issues related to the transfer of plots, conversion of leasehold rights into freehold rights, loss of original plot documents, amalgamation of plots, construction of Marriage/Community Hall, provision of Graveyard, and Library in Housing Colony, Bagh-i-Mehtab.

The Housing Board Officials not only provided necessary assistance but also advised on the uploading of documents on the property portal.
