Srinagar: At least four shops and a rice mill were damaged in a fire mishap in Gulzarpora area of Awantipora in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
An official said that early on Tuesday morning, fire engulfed the mill of Bashir Ahmad Wani, son of Ghulam Mohammad Wani, resident of Gulzarpora Awantipora.
He said that the fire, believed to have been caused by an electric short-circuit, was brought under control by the efforts of fire services personnel, police and the locals. Four shops and the mill were partially damaged in the blaze.
A case has been registered in this regard for investigation, he said. (KS)
