The Labour Department and the Department of Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs have over the past several months launched extensive outreach efforts across J&K to ensure the issuance of ration cards in favour of left-out e-Shram registrants, however, some of the e-Shram registrants have not yet approached the respective offices/authorities in the districts for ration cards.

Also, the Labour Department has time and again through the medium of press releases, social media and public notices urged the left-out e-Shram registrants to come forward. Helpdesks have also been set up in the offices of Assistant Labour Commissioners. Moreover, camps on a regular basis in labour-concentrated areas, labour colonies etc across each district are being organized so as to facilitate the left-out e-Shram registrants in getting ration cards.

The left out e-Shram registrants have been requested to bring the requisite documents viz Aadhaar card, Domicile certificate, Income proof and e-Shram card along with them for on the spot issuance of ration cards in their favour by the Department of Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs. Furthermore, all the e-Shram registrants who have not completed their eKYC with the Department have also been requested to complete the same on urgent basis.
