Srinagar: A two-day Special Summer Revision (SSR) camp is being held at the Islamia College of Science and Commerce, Hawal, organized by the Electoral Registration Officer (ERO) of the Zadibal Assembly Segment.
The camp, taking place on Saturday and Sunday, aims to enrol citizens who have recently turned 18.
Dr. Khalid Hussain Malik, the ERO for Zadibal Assembly Constituency, presided over the program, emphasizing the significance of participating in the world’s largest democracy and the importance of electing representatives to voice the community’s concerns in the Parliament of India and the local assembly.
The event was also attended by the Principal of the college, Tehmina Yousuf, and Associate Professor Mir Mohammad Haneef.
During the program, the officials guided and informed students who have recently reached the eligible voting age about the enrolment process. Subsequently, numerous students from the Zadibal constituency were successfully added to the voter list.
