“Kargil Rajat Jayanti Mahotsav”: Chinar Warriors organises Riding Expedition from Kaman Setu Uri to BB Cantt Sgr

Srinagar: On the occasion of “Kargil Rajat Jayanti Mahotsav”, the Chinar Warriors organised a Riding Expedition from Kaman Setu, Uri to BB Cantt Srinagar to pay tribute to the brave soldiers who adorned history with their valour during Operation Vijay.

As part of the commemoration, GOC, 15 Corps flagged in the Riding Expedition of Chinar Warriors who participated in the event, at BB Cantonment. Embarking on a symbolic journey, the Expedition started on 24 Jul 24 from Uri Kaman post. Amidst high fervour, the team was felicitated by the chief guest along with the ‘Chinar Ultra Marathon Team’ and ‘Chinar Yuva Band’. The participants include officers, ladies, jawans including agniveers & women agniveers.

The riding expedition comprised of Kuldeep Singh Virk, Abhishek Prakash,

Kapildev Kumar, Debarata Sen, Jyoti Basappa, Anuja and others. The Ultramarathon which covered a 160 km run from BB Cantt, Srinagar to Drass was led by Lieutenant Colonel Barsha Rai (Retired) and participants include Deepak, Dharamveer, Narendra Didel, Akhand Pratap Singh, Mendhe Dhanajoy Chandu, Mukesh, Vikash Kumar, Ukade Akash Khanderao and Manoj Kumar.

Such events not only illuminate the virtues of our Armed Forces but also inspire faith and reverence among the local populace. Through their unwavering commitment, the Indian Army remains a bastion of protection and pride, instilling hope and unity in the hearts of all who cherish the spirit of our beloved Nation.
