Police launches 24×7 Women helpline in Anantnag

Jammu and Kashmir Women’s helpline organizes awareness camp at CRC Srinagar

Srinagar: Police in Anantnag have established a 24×7 women helpdesk at seven police stations of the district, a police spokesperson informed Monday.

He said the helpdesk, manned by dedicated female police officers, aims to provide a platform for all women (married or unmarried) to report any problems related to their daily lives. The helpdesk will address issues such as domestic violence, harassment and other gender-related concerns.

The dedicated helpline numbers for each Police Station are WHD Bijbehara 9596022269, 9596777622, WHD Mattan 9596010340, 9596777623, WHD Kokernag 9596011171, 9596777628, WHD Dooru 9596010677, 9596777627, WHD Achabal 9596013619, 9596777626, WHD Pahalgam 9596022368, 9596777625, WHD Aishmuqam 9596477116, 9596777624, police said while encouraging the women in need to reach out to the helpdesk for assistance and support.
