Srinagar Police have arrested a drug peddler in Kulgam and recovered contraband substance from his possession, a police spokesperson informed Friday.
He said at a checkpoint at Upper Bazar Qazigund, police intercepted and later arrested Sahil Ahmad Lone, son of Abdul Rashid Lone of Dalwach, Qazigund, after 1.4 Kgs of poppy straw-like contraband substance was recovered from his possession. The motorcycle he was travelling on was also seized while a case has been registered for further investigation.
