Art is an expression that has been alongside human history from centuries. There are emotions that need more than words to be fully articulated and painting does that for you. Humans are different from other creatures and the most profound difference is that of expression, the art of expressions elevates us.  Art is within every human being but only some realize it and very few pursue it seriously. Although it’s very much of a fact that everyone has somewhere in their lifetime felt the urge to draw or paint, may it be crude lines and forms but the inner artist shows itself it tries to come out but, in most cases, its supressed. But there are some who understand and explore that artist and I have come across many young kids who without prior knowledge make Overwhelmingpaintings and drawings when provided with an opportunity. There are many students who have no exposure to paintings yet they show immense talent when it comes to art and one such artist is Adeeba-Binti-Hassan.

Residing in Safapora Ganderbal,Adeeba is a high school student from district Bandipora and her engagement with art is more than just a hobby. Her paintings resonate a unique perception suggesting a great future ahead.  She started painting at a very young age and is gradually making improvements with regards to control over what she wants to express. “As I started giving more time to art, I felt that I can accel in this field although I don’t paint daily but in the background of my mind, I am preparing my new canvas.” Said Adeeba, adding that, painting makes me feel better, its exciting and it elevates me, and I surely want to explore more about this field and make my art better and more engaging.”

Adeeba comes from a well-regarded family, her father is a government employee in education department and her mother, a well-educated house wife. A part from painting Adeeba also shows a great interest in writing, she writes poems, short stories as well as articles. Her paintings are mostly abstract and according to her, she has to put a note alongside her work to make it easy for her audience to better understand her painting.  Her color application is very expressive, with bold strokes and a vibrant palette. Her paintings draw the viewer in and compel them to contemplate.

“I am self-taught, flambeau of my own creation. I make sure that whatever I am doing must be a logical and interesting and I prefer quality over quantity, and whenever I paint, I give my hundred percent to it,” said Adeeba, adding that, I believe that its you yourself that pushes you towards success and pulls you to failure, with faith and hard work nothing can stop you from achieving your destiny.”

Adeeba is a promising versatile artist; she still has a long way to go and with her dedication and attitude of learning she is surely entitled a great future.
