Srinagar: Police have arrested two persons involved in eve teasing and molestation in Pulwama district, a police spokesperson said Saturday.

In a statement, he said Police Station Pulwama received a written complaint from a female (name withheld) regarding an incident of eve teasing and molestation, following which a case FIR No. 132/24 U/S 75(1) BNS was registered at Police Station Pulwama.

The accused identified as Shahid Bilal Bhat, son of Bilal Ahmad Bhat of Pinglena, and Shayan Rasool, son of Ghulam Rasool Reshi of Dugam Kakapora, were subsequently arrested.

The investigation is going on to gather all necessary evidence and ensure justice for the victim, police said, adding that it remains committed to providing a secure atmosphere to the general public and taking action against eve-teasers and other anti-social elements.
