DC Srinagar conducts visit of Khimber & Chaterhama

SRINAGAR: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Srinagar, Dr Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat today conducted an extensive tour of Khimber and Chaterhama areas of the district to take stock of ongoing developmental works and listen to the grievances and problems of the people living there.

Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner said that the District Administration is committed to equitable development of all areas of Srinagar District. He assured that the Administration is committed to extending all the required facilities to the masses for their overall well-being.

Meanwhile, people including youth and senior citizens apprised the DC about various developmental issues of their respective areas which include healthcare facilities, drinking water, educational infrastructure, power supply and macadamization of roads besides fencing/walling of playfield.

The DC assured them that their concerns and feedback would be diligently analyzed, and appropriate actions would be taken to address them. He also passed on directions to the concerned officers for the redressal of some of the issues of an immediate nature.

He reiterated that the District Administration is committed to transparent and accountable governance.

Later, the DC inspected various ongoing developmental projects in these areas. He stressed upon the officers to ensure completion of all the ongoing developmental works within the stipulated time frame.

During the visit, the DC was accompanied by Tehsildars and other Officers of District Administration.
