On the occasion a resolution was unanimously passed, denouncing the despicable act of the administration of disallowing the party to pay their respects by offering fatiha and floral tributes at the Mazar-e-Shuhada at Naqshband sahib shrine.

Similar commemorative functionaries were organized at the party’s district headquarters across Jammu, Kashmir regions.

In his address to the party functionaries on the occasion, Dr. Kamaal said, “This egregious violation of our rights will not go unnoticed, people will teach a lesson to BJP and its minions in the upcoming elections. We stand united in our condemnation of such tyrannical actions. The unquenchable thirst for dignity cannot be extinguished by injustice, and the 13th July Martyrs demonstrated that non-violence and perseverance always triumph over oppression and tyranny in the end.”

“Once again, on the 13th of July, Martyr’s Day, we witness the familiar sight of locked gates and excessive police presence, all in an attempt to prevent us from honoring those who gave their lives for a just, fair and democratic Jammu & Kashmir. While the rest of the country celebrates such heroes, here in J&K, their sacrifices are brushed aside by the administration,” Kamal said.

The martyrs of 13th July, Dr. Mustafa Kamal emphasised symbolize the collective struggle of the people of J&K against injustice and oppression, igniting a fire within us for justice, truth, and peace. “The yearning for dignity, equality, and justice cannot be silenced by simply closing the gates of Mazar-e-Shohada. Through their non-violent resistance and unwavering determination, the martyrs showed us that we can triumph over tyranny and oppression,” he added.

The 13th of July, Dr. Kamal said, stands as a day for the people of Jammu & Kashmir to renew their commitment to fighting evil with compassion, non-violence, and peace. Let us humbly honor our brave martyrs, who gave everything for the greater good. Their legacy will forever inspire us to stand up against injustice and tyranny.”

Later the participants tried to march towards Mazar e Shuhuda but were prevented by police from moving ahead. The protestors later dispersed peacefully.
