Udhampur: Police on Wednesday said that a sentry fired some aerial gunshots after observing “suspicious movement” in Sang area of Basanthgarh in Udhampur district.
A top police officer told GNS that the sentry opened fire towards the tree line after discerning suspicious movement.
There was no attack as is being circulated in social media, the officer said.
He also said that people should refrain from circulating unsubstantial posts, the officer added.
