Srinagar: Islamia College, under the leadership of Principal Professor (Dr.) Tehmina Yousuf, organized a series of events including an Entrepreneurship Awareness Programme, Annual Road Race 2024, International Day Against Drug Abuse & Illicit Trafficking, and Cyber Security Extension Lectures.
The Entrepreneurship Awareness Programme, jointly organized with JKEDI, featured presentations from student entrepreneurs and experts, highlighting the importance of innovation and entrepreneurship skills. The event included a welcome address by Dr. Yousuf and a presentation by Ms. Syed Miftah Zahoor from JKEDI.
The International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking event aimed to educate about drug abuse, featuring talks by Dr. Ajaz Ahmad Suhaff and insights from students.
The Annual Road Race 2024, organized by the Department of Physical Education, saw enthusiastic participation from 125 students, with the race taking place along the scenic Dal Lake.
Additionally, the college observed Cyber Jaagrookta Diwas to raise awareness about cybercrime prevention, with a session led by Mr. Nayeem Abass, Cyber Forensic Consultant.
