JLNM Hospital hosts groundbreaking CME event on allergy awareness

Srinagar: he Department of Medicine at JLNM Hospital in Srinagar organized a one-day Continuing Medical Education (CME) event titled “Allergy Alert: Alleviating Allergies” on Tuesday.

This inaugural event, the first of its kind at the secondary level of care, marks a significant milestone in health services, drawing more than 100 delegates from various medical fields.

Prominent clinicians, including Prof. Naveed Nazir Shah, Prof. Roohi Rasool, Prof. Reyaz Malik, Dr. Ghulam Hassan, and Dr. Mir Faisal, delivered insightful guest lectures. Numerous researchers, scientists, and academicians shared their experiences, aiming to advance allergy research and clinical practice for improved human health. The Allergy CME 2024 provided a platform for graduate and postgraduate students to present their scientific knowledge through oral and poster presentations.

“The main intent of the CME is to instill a strong belief that integrating allergies and their characteristics with other medical conditions, such as asthma and pregnancy, can provide a healthier milieu,” said Dr. Shahzada, the organizing chairperson of the event. She added that JLNM Hospital has been offering customized allergy services for the past six months, providing comprehensive care on par with other leading allergy mitigation institutions.

Dr. Tajamull Hussain, Medical Superintendent of JLNM Hospital, expressed gratitude to the guests and participants for making the event a success. “We will continue our efforts to hold such awareness campaigns more frequently to make a considerable difference in the overall allergy scenario,” stated Dr. Taha, the organizing secretary of the event.

Director of Health Services, Dr. Mushtaq Ahmad Rather, congratulated the organizing team for their commendable efforts in hosting the event.
