Srinagar: A man died while two others were injured after a vehicle they were travelling in met an accident near Lower Munda in Qazigund on Sunday, reports said.

Quoting an official, news agency Kashmir Scroll reported that a car (JK02AF 5269) met with an accident at BO Top along the old tunnel road near Zig Lower Munda.

The official identified the deceased as Umer Ahmad Bhat, resident of Hiller Shahabad Doru in Anantnag district.

The injured have been shifted to hospital, said the official.

Meanwhile police have registered a case and started an investigation, he said.

In a road accident in Rajouri, a man and his son were killed while his wife was injured after their vehicle rolled down 150-ft into a gorge on Sunday.

Quoting an official, news agency Kashmir Scroll reported that a car (JK 11A 3869) on its way from Koteranka towards Shahpur rolled down a deep gorge at Larkuti .

The deceased was identified as Shakeel Ahmed, son of Ghulam Nabi, resident of Mohra B Krage, a daily-wage employee of PDD, and his son Mukhtar Ahmed. They died on the spot, said the official.

Shamim Akhter, wife of Shakeel was injured seriously and is being treated at GMC Rajouri.
