A. Srija and other officers were warmly welcomed by Abdul Hamid Fani, Chief Education Officer Srinagar, Nusrat Bukhari, Principal of SP HSS School, and the NCC Cadets of SP HSS School.

During her visit, A. Srija spent quality time with the CWSN in the Resource Room, individually interacting with each student and inquiring about the facilities provided to them. She also checked the performance of the students and engaged with their parents, seeking feedback about the services provided by the Resource Room.

Emphasizing the importance of inclusive education, she stated that every student can learn, just not on the same day or in the same way. We are committed to providing education to all.

Abdul Hamid Fani, Chief Education Officer, highlighted that all 8 Resource Centres of District Srinagar are fully functional with expert Special Educators, catering to approximately 1713 CWSN students, of which 936 students are from Government Schools and the rest from Private Schools.

Snober, a Special Educator at the Resource Room in SP HSS School, briefed the officers about the learning difficulties of students and the different methods and therapies provided by the Resource Room.

Following their visit, A. Srija and the other dignitaries took a Pledge along with the staff and students of SP HSS School.

She urged the students to use their influence to create a positive impact on their community by standing up against drug abuse and illicit trafficking.

The visit culminated in a rally on the International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, which was flagged off by A. Srija, Rakesh Magotra and Abdul Hamid Fani.

During the rally, students chanted slogans against drug abuse and illicit trafficking, with the Principal, staff, and students of SP Higher Secondary School participating with full enthusiasm.
