DC Budgam receives first batch of Hajj pilgrims at Srinagar Airport

BUDGAM: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Budgam, Akshay Labroo along with SSP Budgam, Nikhil Borkar received the first batch of 320 Hajj pilgrims at Srinagar International Airport from Saudi Arabia.

The DC was also accompanied by the Director Airport Authority, Srinagar, ADDC Budgam and Hajj Authorities.

He extended his greetings to the pilgrims on their return from the holy pilgrimage.

Speaking on the occasion, the DC said that all arrangements have been put in place for the smooth and seamless arrival of pilgrims.

Taking stock of arrangements, he exhorted upon the deputed officers to ensure the comfortable movement of pilgrims towards their respective places from the airport.

He said that special passes are being provided to the attendants/family members coming to receive pilgrims at Srinagar Airport.

As many as 6802 pilgrims from J&K UT departed from Srinagar Airport to attend the Hajj Pilgrimage 2024 in Saudi Arabia.
