Lt Governor Manoj Sinha expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Modi for selecting Jammu and Kashmir to lead the International Yoga Day celebrations. “This historic event has put Jammu and Kashmir on the global map,” said Lt Governor Sinha.

In his speech, Lt Governor Sinha emphasized the multifaceted benefits of yoga. “Yoga plays the most significant role in enhancing the physical, psychological, and emotional aspects of well-being. Honourable PM has taken yoga to the world, and today this invaluable gift from our ancient tradition is being practiced across the globe,” he stated.

He further elaborated on yoga’s holistic approach to health and happiness. “Yoga is the first step towards a healthy life. It unites the body and mind, as Saint Patanjali said, ‘Body and Mind are one.’ Yoga brings consciousness, and through consciousness, pure joy is born.”
