Cultural festival celebrates India’s heritage in runup to Kargil Vijay Diwas Rajat Jayanti

Pattan: A vibrant celebration of India’s rich cultural heritage unfolded on June 19 at Zorawar Hall in Pattan, setting the stage for the Kargil Vijay Diwas Rajat Jayanti.

Organized by the Indian Army in collaboration with the North Zone Cultural Centre, Ministry of Culture, Government of India, the Cultural Festival highlighted the diverse culture of the nation.

Renowned artists from Punjab, Rajasthan, Haryana, Gujarat, Odisha, Manipur, and Kashmir graced the stage with mesmerizing performances that encapsulated the essence of India’s cultural diversity. The event was a colorful showcase of folk art forms from across the country, underscoring the richness of India’s artistic heritage.

The festival featured soulful renditions of traditional songs, symbolizing India’s unity in diversity and mystical significance. Local artists also embraced the event with spirited performances, followed by captivating folk presentations that enthralled the audience.

Beyond entertainment, the Cultural Festival aimed to celebrate the spirit of tradition, culture, heritage, and diversity of India. It sought to preserve, promote, and popularize the heritage of the Indian spirit, reconnecting the new generation with their cultural roots and fostering a sense of pride and belonging.

The event received widespread acclaim and was attended by teachers, students, and civil dignitaries from North Kashmir. A total of 300 youths from the region participated in the celebration. The attendees expressed their gratitude to the Indian Army for organizing the event, acknowledging its role in fostering cultural appreciation and unity.
