Srinagar: Police in Shopian have fixed a GPS tracking device on a bailed-out “terror associate” — Sameer Ahmad Bhat, son of Abdul Rashid Bhat of Manzimpora Shopian, a police spokesperson informed.
He said Bhat was involved in case FIR No. 04/2022 U/S 7/25 I.A Act 18, 39 UA(P) Act of Police Station Imamsahib.
The GPS anklet will be used to monitor his movements and ensure that he doesn’t violate the bail conditions, police said.
