Srinagar: Police have booked a “notorious” drug smuggler under the PIT NDPS Act in Baramulla after obtaining a formal detention order from the competent authority, a police spokesperson informed Friday.

He said the “notorious” drug smuggler Tauseef Nabi Ganie lais Tauseef Pujj, son of Ghulam Nabi, resident of Stadium Colony Baramulla, has been booked under the PIT-NDPS Act. The booked drug smuggler has been detained and subsequently lodged in Central Jail Kot-Bhalwal Jammu.

Police said that many cases are registered against the said drug smuggler and that he was involved in promoting the “drug abuse trade” by supplying drugs to local youth of Baramulla town and other areas of the district.
