GMC Jammu constitutes committee to probe nursing staff, resident doctors’ confrontation

Jammu: Government Medical College (GMC) Jammu has constituted a committee headed by the chairman disciplinary committee to look into the matter of alleged confrontation between nursing staff and resident doctors working in the emergency section.

“The GMC administration has taken the incident seriously and has constituted a committee headed by the Chairman disciplinary committee who will look into the matter and has been asked to submit the report as soon as possible,” a GMC spokesperson said.

“The GMC administration has addressed both the parties i.e., nursing or paramedical staff and the resident doctors and assured them that an impartial enquiry will be conducted and appropriate action will be taken against those found guilty,” the spokesperson said.

Both the parties were assured that justice and a safe working environment would be provided to one and all.

“At the same time, it was stressed that it’s the duty of the whole medical and nursing fraternity to trust the system and maintain mutual harmony. Following it, both the parties called off their agitation,” the spokesperson said.
