Those arrested have been identified as Waseem Ahmad Shah and Adnan Ahmad Beigh, both residents of Anantnag, they said.

A pistol along with a magazine and eight rounds, a grenade, and 120 AK rounds were recovered from their possession, the officials said.

“Security forces solved the Pahalgam terror attack by arresting two hybrid terrorists,” the officials said.

On May 18, a tourist couple from Rajasthan’s Jaipur were shot at by terrorists at an open camp in Pahalgam tourist resort.

Meanwhile, properties of two “terror handlers” were attached in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Tuesday, police said.

The properties — three Kanals and nine Marlas of land — worth lakhs of rupees, which belonged to the two handlers based in Pakistan, were attached after obtaining an order from Sub Judge Uri, a police spokesman said.

He identified the two as Jalal Din, son of Raj Mohammad, resident of Zamboor Pattan, and Mohammad Saki, son of Mastana Bhatti, resident of Kamalkote Uri.

The action was taken under sections of 83 CRPC & are linked with case FIR No. 34/1995 u/s 7/25 Indian Arms Act, 4(III) TADA Act & 105/1996 u/s 2/3 EIMCO Act of PS Uri.

The property was identified as belonging to terror handlers during the course of an investigation by the police, a police spokesman said.
