Says Article 370 is nowhere now; it’s buried, but Apni Party will ensure whatever is good for people of J&K

Srinagar: Apni Party president Mohammad Altaf Bukhari Thursday stated that delimitation has done grave injustice with people of south Kashmir, who have been merged with Poonch-Rajouri region, asserting that the Anantnag and Rajouri will be made into two separate Lok Sabha constituencies if Apni Party is elected to power.

Speaking to reporters in south Kashmir’s Anantnag on the sidelines of a public rally, Bukhari as per KNS said people’s inclination towards Apni Party is encouraging.

He said the exercise of delimitation has done grave injustice to people of south Kashmir who have been linked to the other side of the mountain – with Poonch & Rajouri. If the Apni Party is elected to power, the constituency will be separated into two Lok Sabha seats.

He also asserted that his Apni Party will be successful “as people’s inclination towards the party’s manifesto is heartwarming”.

Hitting out at PDP president, Bukhari said “I am still waiting for Mehbooba Mufti’s answer as to where from Rs twenty lakhs reached to an account in Mendhar amidst ongoing Lok Sabha elections”.

He reiterated that “Article 370 has been buried now, and we have already said that only the Supreme Court or parliament can return it to Jammu and Kashmir.

“Article 370 is nowhere now. It is buried. But whatever be good for the people of Jammu and Kashmir, the Apni Party will ensure that,” Bukhari maintained.
